Description

Job Opportunity: RN - PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

Location: Derry, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel


Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Specialty

  • Required Years of Experience: 2 years in a hospital setting (PCU experience preferred)

Licensure & Certifications

  • Must have an active New Hampshire RN license at time of submission
  • Compact RN license required at submission
  • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Certification

Unit Information

  • Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Number of Beds: 20
  • Staffing: 5 RNs and 2 LNAs, flex with volume
  • Shifts: Day Shift (5 RNs), Night Shift (5 RNs)
  • Patient Ratios: 4:1
  • Equipment: GE cardiac monitoring, Hospira IV pumps
  • EMR System: Expanse

Required Skills

  • Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
  • Critical drip experience
  • Minimum 2 years PCU experience

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with pre- and post-cardiac cath and pacer patient care
  • Prior experience with HCA Healthcare system

Floating Areas

  • Medical-Surgical
  • ICU (for border patients)

Work Schedule
