Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Department
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on assigned units. The RN ensures quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with unit standards. The role requires professionalism, respect, and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating, up to 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
- On Call: No regular on-call, but may be placed on call if census is low
- Floating: Yes, may float to sitter or CNA support roles when census or acuity is low
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Licenses & Certifications
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- BLS Certification (AHA) required
- ACLS Certification (AHA) required
- PALS Certification (AHA) or ENPC required
- TNCC or ATCN required
- CPI or Equivalent preferred
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in the specialty

- Subject to stressful professional relationships and variable working hours due to emergencies
- Physical demands include prolonged standing/walking, heavy lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Requires good visual and hearing acuity, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination
