Job Opportunity: Echo Tech - Janesville, WI

Schedule

• 11am - 7pm, Monday through Friday
• On-call weekend rotation every 7 weeks
• May require flexible hours

Job Duties

• Perform two- and three-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of the heart and related structures for physician diagnosis
• Conduct echocardiographic examinations including M-mode, 2D/3D Doppler, transesophageal (TEE), and stress echocardiograms
• Ensure quality and accuracy of examinations, using clinical judgment to determine additional testing needs
• Provide emotional support, physical comfort, and safety to patients and visitors
• Maintain equipment and work area in proper condition
• Recognize arrhythmias and notify physician of abnormal EKG findings (e.g., acute MI, complete heart block, tachycardia)
• Document patient and procedural information thoroughly and accurately in medical records
• Educate patients and families about procedures and document education
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations
• Follow established procedures for equipment use and report any malfunctions

Required Education & Certification

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification required
