Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Seattle, Washington

Job Description

• This is a Temp to Hire opportunity. Both local and non-local clinicians are accepted.
• Non-local candidates must confirm willingness and availability to relocate permanently if offered a permanent position.
• Position primarily at Beacon Hill clinic with possible shifts at Canyon Park location.
• No weekend shifts required.
• No on-call required.
• Clinician may float between clinics within their skillset.
• Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius.
• License must be in-hand at time of contract signing (no pending licenses accepted).
• Reliable personal transportation required (public transportation not acceptable).

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 1 year working in an adult outpatient clinic (higher experience requirement confirmed).
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation accepted).
• Epic charting experience required.
• No block scheduling accommodation.
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per pay period.

Facility & Work Environment

• General facility with Radiology/Mammography focus.
• Scrubs provided.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually.
• Education verification required.
• State-specific background and registry checks as applicable (Washington state requirements).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TB test or chest X-ray (annual update required).
  • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
  • COVID vaccine or declination.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start.
• Respirator fit testing required for travel candidates (not required for Mammography Techs).
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable setting within the last 3 years.

Training & Competency

• Completion of Providence Health and Services required modules via WorkRamp LMS, including:

  • Annual regulatory requirements.
  • Specialty-specific modules as applicable.
  • Epic training modules (must be completed within a week of orientation).
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.

Additional Notes

• Candidate should have no additional scheduling restrictions.
• Clinic seeks a seasoned professional with potential for full-time permanent hire.
• Floating within the scope of practice may be required.
