Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: 1st shift, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, 4 days a week (4x10s)
  • Weekend Requirement: Work every third weekend
  • On-Call: Yes

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in Diagnostic/Fluoroscopy (No OR experience required)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong Diagnostic/Fluoroscopy background
    • Experience with GE Siemens equipment, PACS, and portable X-ray machines preferred
    • EPIC charting experience required

Licensure & Compliance

  • Must have valid state license verification within 30 days of start
  • Background checks required including 7-year criminal background check, FBI/BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
  • Monthly monitoring through EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG databases
  • Education accreditation verification required
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
  • Physical exam documentation within 1 year of start
  • Immunizations and health requirements:
    • Tdap vaccine (adult dose)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
    • Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series (declination acceptable)
    • Varicella vaccines or positive titer (medical exemptions reviewed)
    • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
  • COVID-19 vaccination not required but recommended

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete skills checklist and competency exams as required
  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam required for RN/LVN candidates (if applicable)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required annually for applicable RNs (not specific to this role)
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually
  • References: 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership

Facility Specific Policies

  • Dress code and hand hygiene policy must be reviewed and signed
  • Confidential Fraud, Waste, and Abuse reporting training and acknowledgment required
  • Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually
