Description

Job Opportunity: General Imaging - Radiologic Technologist

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Contractor
  • Contract Length: 6 weeks
  • Specialty: General Imaging (Radiologic Technologist)
  • Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in General X-ray, including experience with GI, Surgery, and Level 1 Trauma cases
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required; however, first-time travelers must have X-ray tech experience. No first-time travelers without experience accepted.

Facility & Work Environment

  • Level 1 Trauma Center with Magnet Designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • 4 outpatient rooms and 5 inpatient rooms for imaging
  • Patient Types: General X-ray patients, portable and non-portable; surgery experience preferred
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Multiple X-ray techs on unit at any given time

Certifications Required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency)

Skills & Equipment

  • General X-ray skillset
  • Experience with:
    • EPIC charting system
    • GE X-ray rooms
    • Siemens Fluoroscopy
    • GE C-Arm
    • Fuji Portable X-ray machines

Orientation & Scheduling

  • 1-unit orientation to learn workflow
  • Weekend rotation: alternating every other weekend
  • Call schedule varies
  • All Return to Office (RTO) requests require unit manager approval
