Job Description

Extension for a return traveler only
Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust plan of care within a multidisciplinary team
Provide explanations and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons regarding respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge
Accept reassignment to other units when necessary
Share clinical knowledge with staff and students; serve as a role model for clinical practice
Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care
Provide respiratory care as ordered by physicians, maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff

Education Requirements

Associate’s degree required

Licenses and Certifications Required

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Illinois State License
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program - MHC (NRP-MHC)
