Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Schedule: Every other weekend, holidays as needed
- Floating: Required as needed
- Specialty Focus:
- Cardiac patients (Congestive Heart Failure, rule-out myocardial infarction, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Arrhythmias)
- Secondary focus on respiratory issues (COPD, pneumonia)
- Patient Diagnoses: Heart Failure, Respiratory Failure, NSTEMI, COPD, Pneumonia
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
- First-time travelers are welcome (no prior travel experience required)
Certifications Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Pass/Fail EKG exam required for all RNs regardless of specialty
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit (check with program management if unclear)
Licensure
- Valid North Carolina RN license required
- Primary source verification of license within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification required within 60 days of start
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- Social Security Card (required for badge)
- Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification by a 3rd party (Associate’s degree in nursing or higher required)
- Transcript/Diploma as applicable
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine proof
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (Qgold/TSPOT within 6 months)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required by October 20)
- Fit mask test completed within current calendar year and updated annually (N95 approved types)
- Physical exam (if applicable)
Testing & Competencies
- Pass/Fail EKG/Dysrhythmia exam (2 attempts allowed, must score 82% or higher)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (80% or higher to pass)
- Color Blind Testing (as applicable)
- Other competency exams as required by specialty/unit
Additional Requirements
- 2 supervisory references required from clinical positions (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)
- Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
- Verification of all employment within last 5 years through third party
- Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal
- Facility-specific documents including floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgement must be reviewed and signed
- Badge photo meeting strict facility requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual/uniform attire)

- Zero tolerance for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Flexible scheduling required
- Floating to other units as needed
