Job Opportunity: CVICU Registered Nurse (Days)

Location: Great Falls, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide direct patient care to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients requiring advanced monitoring.
  • Care for open heart patients immediately post-surgery (Day 1) with recent open heart recovery experience required.
  • Operate advanced medical equipment including:
    • Central lines (A-lines)
    • Multiple IVs
    • Balloon pumps
    • Impella pumps
    • Ventilation support
    • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
  • Care for general medical and surgical patients on the inpatient unit.
  • Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff.
  • Provide care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.
  • Provide direction to RN, LPN, CNA, housekeeping, and dietary staff.
  • Receive direction from providers, charge nurse, acute care director, and chief nursing officer.
  • May be required to care for PCU and Med-Surgical patients if no ICU/CVICU patients are in-house.

  • Recent open heart recovery experience required (implies advanced cardiovascular ICU nursing experience).
