Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (Outpatient) - Travel/Contract
Location: Alamosa, Colorado
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Start date must be at least 2 weeks from offer due to compliance requirements.
- Weekend coverage likely required on a rotating schedule (approximately once every 2 months).
- Position schedule: Monday through Friday.
- Clinician may be required to float within scope to a nearby facility (~15 minutes away).
- Locals are accepted.
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required.
- Candidates with 1 year of experience may be reviewed but anything less will not be considered.
- First-time travelers accepted.
- Prior travel experience is NOT required.
Licensure & Certifications
- Must have a valid Colorado state license or compact license for Physical Therapy.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred.
Compliance & Background
- Background check must be completed within 90 days of start and updated annually.
- CO CAPS Release Authorization required prior to start.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen with chain of custody required within 30 days of start.
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask test required within 12 months of start.
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years)
- Negative TB test (T-Spot or QuantiFERON Gold within 45 days of start; PPD not accepted)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B (titer or completed vaccine series)
- Varicella (titer, 2 vaccines, or history of disease)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations not accepted.
Additional Requirements
- Must meet competency exams as applicable (Medication Test/Pharmacology and general Competency Exam).
- No RTO (Request Time Off) within first two weeks of start; no more than 10 days total; no full calendar weeks off allowed during contract.
Work Environment & Tools
- Charting systems: OBix, McKesson, Pyxis, and SBAR.
- Scrub color: Any.
- Parking: Free in any unrestricted space.
This position offers a structured schedule with guaranteed hours and the opportunity to work in a small acute care hospital setting.
