Job Details

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Minnesota (pending license accepted)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only, RQI acceptable, certificate of completion not accepted
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only, RQI acceptable
• Experience:

  • Cardiology experience required
  • Assessment skills including interpretation of lab results, medication reconciliation, obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG, vital signs, patient health history/allergies
  • Cardiovascular experience including arrhythmia interpretation, cardiac arrest/CPR, chest pain management, AED use, hypertension management
• Electronic Health Record: Epic experience required

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check within 1 year of start date (7-year standard MN statewide search)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Adult Tdap (no declinations accepted without exemption approval)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 12 months or acceptable history)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer required, no exemptions for patient-facing roles)
  • Hepatitis B (proof of immunity or vaccination series)
  • Varicella (proof of immunity or vaccination series, no exemptions accepted)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination documentation required for 2025-26 season (declinations accepted)
• Drug testing: 9-panel within 1 year (not required for client clearance)
• MN DHS Net Study Fingerprint clearance required before start (no starts with fingerprints pending unless approved “more time needed” letter)

Additional Requirements

• Completion of Allina Health pre-orientation online modules within 72 hours of assignment acceptance (3-9 hours depending on specialty)
• MN DHS Net Study Questionnaire must be completed immediately after contract signing
• Photo for badge: Passport-style headshot required within 48 hours of signing
• Medication and competency exams required annually
• Must comply with Allina Health uniform policy

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
• No weekend or on-call shifts required
• Floating may be required within a 20-mile radius clinics
• Contract length is 8 weeks
