Job Description

• Position: Cath Lab Tech
• Start Date: Next applicable orientation date (3-4 weeks out)
• Floating: Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
• Schedule: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 shifts
• On-call Requirement: Evenings and weekends
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Locals Accepted: Yes (same rate)
• Pending License Accepted: Yes
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching hospital
• Charting System: EPIC
• Smoke-Free Facility: All travelers must be nicotine-free (verified by negative 10 panel + nicotine test)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months experience as Cath Lab Tech; 2 years preferred (use 2 years as requirement)
• Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) preferred; RCIS also preferred
• Required Certifications:

  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Must be able to complete time-sensitive modules prior to assignment
• Must comply with all facility onboarding and compliance requirements

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID carried during hours of service
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Florida AHCA Level II Fingerprint Results (must be cleared prior to start)
• Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (no FL Medical Marijuana card accepted)
• Physical Exam within 6 months of start
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
  • TB Questionnaire for past positives or recent COVID vaccination
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required
• 2 Professional References within 2 years of start (for travel and acute care positions)
• Employment Application and Skills Checklist (updated annually)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement and HIPAA compliance
• Completion of online onboarding modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)

• Candidates must be nicotine-free with negative drug screening
• On-call shifts include evenings and weekends
• Modules and onboarding process may take multiple days and are mandatory before starting
• Facility issues radiation badges to applicable candidates
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
