Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Keene, New Hampshire

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Coordinate total nursing care for adult-geriatric patients.
• Participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient care team members.
• Must be willing to float to Thompson Unit and Kingsbury Custodial patients as needed (higher patient ratio, lower acuity).
• Dress code: Traveler-provided professional scrubs (no logos).
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Epic.
• No shift accommodation requests (e.g., block scheduling) will be considered.
• 48-hour guarantee is not available for this assignment.

Required Qualifications

• License: New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be uploaded with profile).
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience.
• Skills:

  • EPIC EMR experience required.
  • Must have own vehicle.
• Certifications:

  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Compliance:

  • All medical/occupational health compliance items must be completed within 5 days of offer acceptance.
  • Proofs must be uploaded promptly.
• Profile Requirements:

  • Work history and skills checklist (Medical Surgical, current within 1 year).
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.
  • Permanent address must be included in profile.
  • All requested time off (RTO) and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application; no scheduling changes will be approved after offer.

Additional Information

• Facility will not consider local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility.
• Traveler must be flexible to float between units as needed.
• No orientation hours required.
• OT and holiday multipliers apply.

Patient Population

• Adult to Geriatric patients in a regional referral center setting.

Location Highlights

• Keene, NH is located between Boston, MA and Hartford, CT (approximately 110 miles to each).
• Area offers numerous outdoor activities including hiking Mt. Monadnock and touring covered bridges.
