Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Woodward, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Description

• Perform Echocardiograms including bubble study and contrast exams.
• Perform vascular studies such as segmental pressures, arterial legs, carotid, and venous insufficiency exams.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• License: Must hold a valid license appropriate for Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer in Oklahoma.
• Current and valid Driver’s License or State ID required.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC required and current.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC required and current.
  • Tech Certification Verification (e.g., ARRT for Radiologic Techs) must be verified within 30 days prior to start.
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
• Education Verification: Highest level of education must be verified by a 3rd party.
• Physical Exam: Statement of Good Health within 1 year of start, signed by a licensed provider.
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including marijuana (required within 30 days prior to start, updated annually).
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (Tdap mandatory for certain units).
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required.

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (RNs and LPNs/LVNs) within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• Color Blind Testing within 60 days prior to start (Ishihara preferred).
• Unit-specific Competency Exams with passing scores required, updated annually.
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam with 90% passing score, updated annually.
• Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III) covering safety, patient care, ethics, and workplace violence, updated annually.
• Conscious Sedation Competency Exam for applicable RNs, updated annually.

Facility Specific Requirements

• Patient Care Orientation Class attendance required for all RNs.
• EPIC training required if no EPIC experience within 6 months.
• N95 Mask Fit Testing completed onsite prior to or on first day.
• Fit Testing valid within 1 year.
• Completion of various facility policy acknowledgments and agreements prior to start (e.g., Code of Ethical Business Conduct, Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy, Oklahoma Offender Registration Act).
• Fingerprinting and Oklahoma Screen clearance required prior to start.
• Vehicle information form must be completed prior to start.
• Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Certification required for ER candidates prior to start.
