Job Opportunity: Pharmacist Inpatient (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Perform inpatient pharmacy duties.
• Prepare outpatient infusions and chemotherapy.
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs.
• Schedule: Alternating shifts 07:00-15:30 and 09:00-17:30.
• No block scheduling accommodation.
• Local candidates not accepted (must live more than 75 miles from facility).
• No pending state license accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharmacist (inpatient and infusion/chemotherapy preparation).
• Valid Oklahoma Pharmacy license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• BLS certification required.
• Chemotherapy/Hazardous Drug Certification preferred.
• IV Certification preferred.
• Prior travel experience: Not required (first-timers accepted).

Additional Requirements

• Current and valid driver’s license and utility bill in traveler’s name with matching address within last 3 months (address must be >75 miles from facility).
• No more than 5 days of Return to Office (RTO) allowed.

Compliance and Documentation

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and various federal/state sanctions lists required.
• Physical exam within 1 year stating good health and no physical limitations.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
• Immunizations/vaccinations required: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccination, Hepatitis A (if applicable).
• Drug screening (10-panel, including marijuana) within 30 days prior to start.
• Fit mask testing completed onsite on first day.
• Various competency exams and certifications may be required depending on unit assignment.
• Facility-specific orientation and policy acknowledgments required prior to start.

• Floating within scope is expected.
• Locals not accepted; must comply with 75-mile radius rule.
• First-time travel pharmacists are welcome.
• Strict compliance with background checks, health documents, and certifications is mandatory.
