Location: Medford, Oregon

Job Details
- Position may float between units as needed.
- On-call is not likely required.
- Weekends required as needed.
- No block schedules required.
- Patient ratios are variable.
- Facility type: Short Term Acute Care with 108 staffed beds.
- Charting system: Epic.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Respiratory Therapy (RRT).
- Prior travel experience not explicitly required.
Licensure
- Must hold a valid Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license appropriate for Oregon.
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society.
- Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and unit.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Background Checks
- Comprehensive background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
- Includes SSN trace, death master index, nationwide and county checks, sex offender registry, education verification, motor vehicle record (if applicable), and state-specific abuse/neglect searches.
- Background must be updated annually.
- Returning travelers with less than 30-day gap may not require new background check.
Health & Immunizations
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Fit mask testing required annually (except for some specialties).
- Immunizations required:
- TDAP (within 10 years) or declination.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
- COVID vaccine or declination.
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
References & Employment History
- Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years.
Training & Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists, updated annually.
- Color blindness testing if required by unit.
- Specialty-specific competency exams (e.g., Electronic Fetal Monitoring for L&D RNs, if applicable).
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via WorkRamp LMS platform.
- Epic system training modules required prior to or shortly after start.
Additional Notes
- Float policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance.
- Scrubs provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, PACU, and Maternal Child units.
- Parking is free.
- Charting is done in Epic.
- Passport-style badge photo required.
- Respiratory Safety clearance required annually for respirator use.
This position offers a dynamic work environment with variable patient ratios and the opportunity to float between units as needed. It is ideal for RRTs with at least one year of experience looking for a travel contract in Oregon.
