Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiovascular Surgery (CVOR)
Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
- On-call requirement: 1 weeknight per week and one weekend every 6 weeks (weekends on-call rotation)
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- EMR system: Meditech
- Typical procedures:
- CABG
- Aortic/Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement
- AAA Endovascular & Open
- AV Fistula creation/revision/thrombectomy
- HDC, CAPD, BBT
- TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip
- Equipment used includes surgical instruments, bovie cautery, EVH video tower, laparoscopic video tower, surgical tourniquet, IABP console, Impella console, cryo system, patient warming/cooling system
Unit Information
- Located on 1st floor, Surgery Department
- Permanent positions available for CVOR RN and CVOR CST
- Team environment requiring mature, flexible, punctual, and drama-free professionals
- Scrubs provided
Required Qualifications
- License: Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of CVOR RN experience required (highest stated requirement)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
