Job Description
Work in a dynamic and advanced MRI environment featuring five scanners (GE and Siemens) with a broad spectrum of specialized imaging procedures including:
- Cardiac
- Functional
- Neuro
- Body
- Musculoskeletal
- Specialty exams
Collaborate with a team of experienced technologists in a fast-paced, highly specialized setting.
Patient Population & Work Environment
- Patient Types: Outpatient, Inpatient, Emergency Department
- Experience preferred with patients who have implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal conditions, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac cases
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Weekly census: 250-300 patients
- Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU environment
- Magnet Designation and Primary Stroke Center
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years in MRI (highest required years of experience)
- Certifications:
- BLS
- ARRT-MR or ARMRIT
- Skills:
- Experience with GE and Siemens MRI scanners required
- Experience with the specified patient types listed above
- Charting Systems/Equipment:
- EPIC
- GE Discovery 750W
- Siemens Aera
- Siemens Magnetom Skyra
- McKesson PACS
Orientation & Scheduling
- Orientation: 3 days
- Weekend rotation: Maximum every 3rd weekend
- On-call requirements:
- Saturday and Sunday night (9:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
- Backup on-call Saturday and Sunday (6:30 AM - 9:00 PM)
- 30-minute response time expected
- Holiday work based on unit needs
- Time off requires Nurse Manager approval
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome
- No floating; MRI only
- Support on unit includes Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants; traveler will never be alone
- Scrub color: Any professional color
- Free parking available
- Preferred experience with Breast MRI, Breast MRI Biopsy, and Cardiac MRI
Prior Travel Experience
- Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
