Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each)
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Call Requirements: One weekend per month and one day per week on call
- Number of Openings: 1
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Number of Labs: 4
- Patient Ratio: 1 team member per 1 patient
- Equipment: Merge Hemo system
- EMR: Merge Hemo / Cerner (transitioning to Epic in June 2026)
- Type of Patients: Cardiac patients
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of RN experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or related specialty
- Skills:
- Experience with IABP, Impella, Laser, Shockwave devices
- Phillips panning experience
- Preferred: Experience with Merge Hemo system
Additional Information
- Float Requirements: None
- Personality Fit: Team player, flexible, willing to take initiative, accountable, and timely
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; professional attire and scrub colors must meet CMS and organizational standards
- Weekend Call: One weekend per month
