Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech (Travel/Contract)

Required Qualifications

• License: Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification specific to Mammography
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only, RQI acceptable
  • Current CPR
  • 40 hours initial mammography training
  • 8 hours digital mammography training
  • 8 hours tomosynthesis training
  • 15 mammography CEUs within the last 3 years
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of EPIC electronic health record experience
  • Must have completed at least one prior travel contract (unit does not accept first-time travelers)
• Mammography Requirements:

  • Must have performed at least 200 mammograms in the last 2 years

Compliance & Training Requirements

• Completion of required mammography training hours and CEUs as listed above
• Current and valid ARRT certification in mammography
• Current CPR certification
• Must meet all facility-specific compliance and background check requirements (including 7-year background check, drug screening, and various health immunizations)
• Completion of online modules and pass/fail testing prior to start (approximately 12-16 hours of training and testing)
• Badge photo required with specific guidelines (passport style, light background, no hats or sunglasses)

Additional Requirements

• Driver’s license required for computer access and must be carried on duty
• Must comply with all background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and others as required
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands of the position
• Immunizations and health screenings including TB test, flu vaccine or exemption, Hepatitis B documentation, and others as applicable
• Fit mask testing will be completed onsite during orientation

• Candidates must be prepared to complete all required online training and pass mandatory competency exams before starting
• Compliance with all facility-specific policies and documentation is mandatory for assignment continuation
