Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Speech-Language Pathologist)
• Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Years of experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (defaulted to highest requirement)
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
• License: Valid license as Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Washington state
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other certifications as applicable based on clinical track (verify per individual requirements)
• Background checks and verifications as required by Providence Health and Services policies
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TB test or chest X-ray (annual update required)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Flu vaccine or declination (seasonal requirement)
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use (annual)
• References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
• Employment application covering at least last 5 years

Work Requirements

• Must float between units as needed
• Weekend work required every 6th weekend
• No on-call duties
• Use of Epic electronic health record system

Compliance and Training

• Completion of Providence Health and Services required WorkRamp modules, including:

  • Annual regulatory requirements
  • Specialty-specific modules for Therapy/Rehabilitation
  • Facility-specific modules including Basics of Trauma Informed Care
• Epic training modules completion required prior to or shortly after start
• Compliance with Providence background check and credentialing requirements, including state-specific searches and verifications

Additional Notes

• Badge photo required (passport style with neutral background)
• Float policy acknowledgment required (may be required to float to other Providence facilities nearby)
• Physical exam and immunizations must be current and compliant with Providence standards
• Drug screen and background checks must be completed and cleared prior to start
• Respiratory fit testing required for travel candidates (updated annually)
