Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Days)

Location: Plymouth, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive nursing care from patient check-in through pre/post care to discharge.
• Demonstrate clinical competence using the nursing process: assess patient needs, establish and implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Work in a Labor & Delivery unit managing high-risk pregnancies, including:

  • Preterm labor
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section)
  • Prenatal testing
  • Amniocentesis
  • Childbirth education classes

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery / OB experience (highest required years of experience).
• Skills: Fetal Monitoring experience required.
• Certifications:

  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Current AWHONN certification
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• References: One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment.
• Work History: Labor & Delivery skills checklist within the past year.
• License: Active RN license for New Hampshire.
• Other: Must live outside a 50+ mile radius from the facility (no local candidates).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred (not required).
