Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

  • Minimum 18 months permanent Labor and Delivery experience prior to travel
  • Minimum 18 months recent Labor and Delivery experience in home unit

Required Licenses and Certifications

• License: Must have permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Required Qualifications and Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required
• Background checks including:

  • FCRA compliant 7-year search
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months, updated annually
• Education verification required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including assessment of ability to perform essential job functions
• Fit mask test (3M N95) within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Tdap vaccine every 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Annual flu vaccination (no declinations accepted; medical/religious exemptions require approval)
• Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually
• Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year of start

Orientation and Onboarding

• Completion of online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Facility-specific documents and checklists to be completed and signed before or on day 1 of orientation
• Baseline competency exams (medication administration and ECG interpretation) required during orientation with passing scores
• Photo for badge required

Additional Requirements

• Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar area
• Two professional references from within one year of start date (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
• Annual skills checklist

Summary

This is a night shift travel contract for a Labor and Delivery RN in Ohio requiring at least 18 months of recent and permanent Labor and Delivery experience. Candidates must hold a valid Ohio RN license or compact state license and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications. Comprehensive health, background, and compliance documentation is required prior to start. Completion of facility onboarding modules and competency exams is mandatory.
