Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel)

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
  • Block Schedule: Not allowed
  • Float Requirements: May float to Telemetry or Emergency Department; may assist as an aide if needed
  • On Call/Call Back: None
  • Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (1 cancellation allowed per 2-week period)
  • Orientation: Bi-weekly, 12 hours non-billable orientation; GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week

Unit Information

  • ICU: 12 beds, patient ratio 1:2/3
  • Telemetry: 24 beds, patient ratio 1:5

Required Qualifications

  • Active Illinois RN License
  • Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with strong telemetry and ICU skills
  • Charting experience with Meditech highly preferred
  • Prior travel experience required (at least one completed travel contract)
  • COVID-19 vaccination required unless approved medical/religious exemption

  • No return to office (RTO) over 7 days accepted
  • Candidate should be hardworking, resilient, adaptable to change, and socially engaging
  • Scrub color: Royal Blue
