Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Shift Details

• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• No block schedule requests
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (1 cancellation allowed per 2-week period)
• No on-call or call-back requirements

Unit Information

• 24-bed unit
• Patient ratio: 1:7
• Float to Telemetry or other units as needed; may assist as an aid for additional support
• Assignment known at the beginning of each shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN License
• AHA BLS Certification
• AHA ACLS Certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing (higher experience requirement applies)
• Prior travel experience required (at least one completed travel contract; no new travelers)
• Meditech charting experience preferred; mandatory Meditech training required
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and interpret cardiac strips

Additional Information

• COVID-19 vaccine with booster required unless medically or religiously exempt
• Orientation is bi-weekly, 12 hours non-billable, with no guaranteed GSA hours during orientation week
• Must be resilient, adaptable to change, and socially engaging
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• No return to office (RTO) over 7 days accepted
