Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical / Telemetry
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel
Job Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (1 cancellation allowed per 2-week period)
- Unit: Telemetry Unit (4B), 24-bed unit
- Patient Ratio: 1:7
- Float Requirements: May float to Med/Surg or other units as needed; assignments given at start of each shift
- On Call/Call Back: None
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN License
- Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
- Prior travel experience required (at least one completed travel contract; no new travelers)
- Charting experience with Meditech preferred; mandatory Meditech training required
- Skills: Ability to perform phlebotomy and read/interpret telemetry strips
- COVID-19 booster vaccination required unless approved medical/religious exemption
