Location: Spokane, Washington

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech with experience in pediatric patients for a rehabilitation facility. This is a travel contract position with a 13-week duration.
Work Schedule & Environment
- Floating between units: No
- On-call: No
- Weekends: Required every other weekend
- Block schedules: No
- Patient ratio: 2:1
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub color: Any color allowed on all units
- Parking: No fee
Required Experience
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year (including pediatric experience)
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Sleep Registry certification
- Pediatric patient experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (AAP, AHA, or Canadian Pediatric Society)
- Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and facility requirements
Required Qualifications & Compliance
- Valid Polysomnographer license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of Polysomnographer experience within the last year
- Experience as a Sleep Tech
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification required
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
Facility & Regional Requirements
- Must complete Providence Health and Services - Spokane regional WorkRamp modules prior to start
- May be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
- Badge photo required for facility access
- Epic training modules required for Providence Spokane system
- Washington State Patrol background search and OBRA registry search (if applicable) required
- Multi-state licensed nurses must complete Washington Demographic Attestation if applicable
Additional Notes
- This position requires experience with pediatric patients in polysomnography.
- Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend.
- No on-call or block scheduling required.
- The facility uses Epic for charting and allows any scrub color.
- Parking is free for staff.
