Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical) - Arizona

Location: Kingman, AZ
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Description

• Orientation: Every Monday
• Charting system: Meditech (preferred experience, but not required)
• Float: Yes, may float to other Medical Surgical units if needed
• Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical experience required
• Telemetry: Must have experience with Telemetry due to potential for remote Telemetry monitoring
• Locals and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical and Telemetry experience
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not required
• Float to other Medical Surgical units may be necessary
• Meditech charting experience preferred but not mandatory

Summary

This is a travel contract Registered Nurse position in Medical Surgical with a 13-week duration in Kingman, Arizona. Candidates must have at least 1 year of recent Medical Surgical experience and Telemetry experience. BLS certification is required, with ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable. Prior travel experience is not required, making this suitable for first-time travelers or local nurses. The role includes floating to other MS units and working every other weekend. Comprehensive background checks, immunizations, and health documentation are mandatory.
