Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Location: Tyler, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
  • Shift: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
  • Years of Experience Required: 2 years preferred
  • Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required
  • Charting System: Epic

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • Texas State Physical Therapist License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
  • Minimum of 2 years of Physical Therapist experience
  • Physical Therapist experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID
  • Completion of medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Color blindness test required
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
  • Work history verification for the past 7 years
  • Completion of employment application/resume submission

Notes

  • Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Candidates residing in certain Texas counties are not eligible for this travel contract
  • Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required
  • Various certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, and others may be required as applicable

This position offers an opportunity to work in an acute care hospital setting with a reputable health system in Texas. The role requires a licensed Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and the ability to work a standard 5-day, 8-hour shift schedule.
