Job Details

• Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5 shifts of 8 hours each
• Setting: Inpatient, acute care required; rehabilitation hospital experience preferred
• Key Skills: Lifting and transfer skillset required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
• Uniform: Teal scrub color

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Experience in an acute care setting
• Experience in a rehabilitation setting

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work (I9, Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting if applicable
• Education verification and license primary source verification
• Required certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and others depending on unit assignment
• Completion of online orientation modules and pre-assignment testing within specified timeframes
• Physical exam within 1 year verifying ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine if working in high-risk areas
  • Flu vaccine or approved exemption (not required for remote workers)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and Varicella immunity or vaccination
• Drug screening within 1 year of start, updated annually

Additional Information

• Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style, plain background)
• Respirator fit test to be completed onsite during orientation (N95 masks commonly used)
• Medication and competency exams may be required depending on unit
• Annual training and competency exams required (Core Parts I, II, III)
• Floating policy acknowledgment required
• Candidates must complete all required documentation and training prior to start to avoid delays or cancellation

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Physical Therapist in an inpatient rehab setting in South Carolina. The role requires at least 1 year of PT experience, acute care experience, and the ability to perform patient transfers. First-time travelers are welcome. Compliance with extensive credentialing, health, and training requirements is mandatory. The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts.
