Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Cardiology/Medsurge)
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Cardiology / Medsurg
- Shift: 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: First to float
- Number of Openings: 1
Unit Information
- Unit: 2 West
- Number of Beds: 30
- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Equipment: Standard Acute Care equipment
- EMR System: Cerner
- Type of Patients:
- Pre and Post-Heart Cath
- Medsurg
- General Cardiology (Chest Pain, Hypertension, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alabama
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, with Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS certification
Work Environment & Culture
- Personality Fit: Flexible, open to correction, friendly to staff and patients, dependable
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs
Additional Notes
- No prior travel experience required
- Call is not required for this position
- The unit requires floating as needed, with this role being the first to float
This position offers an opportunity to work in a well-established acute care setting with a focus on cardiology and medical-surgical nursing. The role is suited for RNs with at least 2 years of relevant experience looking for a travel assignment with a consistent day shift schedule.
