Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (LTAC Med Surg - Night)

Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Night
  • Hours: 4 shifts x 12 hours (48 hours per week)
  • Unit: LTAC Medical-Surgical Telemetry
  • Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in specialty (Registered Nurse)
  • Preferred Experience: LTAC experience preferred
  • Certifications Required:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only, cannot expire within 30 days of start
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only, cannot expire within 30 days of start
    • NIH Stroke Certification (check unit description if required)
  • License: Valid Registered Nurse license for South Carolina, primary source verification required, no pending actions, must not expire within 30 days of start

Required Qualifications & Compliance

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 3 years of Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
  • ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • Candidates must be prepared for a fast-paced LTAC environment with night shifts.
  • LTAC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Candidates must be able to complete all required documentation and certifications timely to avoid delays or cancellations.
