Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT)

Location: Great Barrington, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform complex cardio-pulmonary care treatments according to physician orders.
• Ability to cross-train in cardio-related areas such as EKG, Stress tests, Holter Monitors, Event Monitors, and EEGs.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse system is strongly preferred.
• Must have own vehicle for assignment.
• No block scheduling available; must work as needed without accommodation requests.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of current experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Massachusetts, in good standing.
• Active RRT Certification through The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.

Additional Information

• CRTs (Certified Respiratory Therapists) will not be considered.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible.
• All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application; no scheduling changes will be approved after offer.
• Profile must include permanent address, work history, skills checklist, and all required documentation.

Facility Overview

• Community hospital with Joint Commission accreditation and designation as a Critical Access Hospital and Primary Stroke Center.
• Offers inpatient medical services, general surgery, orthopedics, maternity, 24-hour emergency and hospitalist coverage.
• Provides a full range of ambulatory surgical and outpatient ancillary services including wound care, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and physical/occupational therapy.

This position is ideal for experienced RRTs seeking a temporary assignment in a well-regarded community hospital setting with opportunities to utilize and expand cardio-pulmonary skills.
