Job Opportunity: Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
Location: Peoria, Illinois
Specialty: Diagnostic Radiology - Tech (SFMC)
Contract Length: 20 weeks
Job Description
- Position at a Level One Trauma Center with a busy environment.
- Must have experience working in a Level 1 trauma center and operating room (OR) experience.
- Ability to work independently and handle inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and emergency room (ER) patients, including many surgical cases.
- Preferred experience with Epic EMR, OEC, and Carestream imaging systems.
- Self-motivated, quick-thinking, and flexible.
- Typical shifts are 8 hours, with occasional 12-hour shifts as needed.
- Weekend work required every third weekend (may vary for travelers).
- No call, standby, or holiday requirements.
- Scrubs provided only when assigned in the OR; no specific scrub color required.
- Orientation period of 10 days.
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) license or proof that the application process has been initiated.
- ARRT certification (MR) or NMTCB certification (Nuclear Medicine Tech Cert Board) plus any other specialty certifications as required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
- No new graduates; must have prior experience in a busy Level 1 trauma center and OR.
Additional Information
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted.
- Drug-free workplace; negative drug screen required for all panels.
- Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours.
- Call off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks with no penalty.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Diagnostic Radiology as a Radiologic Technologist in a Level 1 trauma center environment.
- OR experience required.
Prior Travel Experience
