Description
Job Opportunity: RN - Post Partum/Mom Baby (Travel)
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Dayshift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), rotating weekends, no call
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Antepartum/Postpartum
- Number of Beds: 24
- Number of Staff: 26 (including 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1 clerk during day; no PCTs at night)
- Patient Ratios: Typically 3:1 and 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity
- EMR Systems: Meditech and CPN
Typical Procedures Performed
- Non-stress tests
- Hyperemesis management
- Insulin drips
- Magnesium administration
- Heparin drips
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Post Partum experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Labor & Delivery or Antepartum experience
Work Environment & Culture
- Teamwork-oriented with good communication skills essential
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
- No call responsibilities
- Rotating weekends

- Permanent positions available on the unit
- Candidates without required certifications will not be considered
- The unit values staff with prior relevant experience and skills to provide high-quality patient care
