Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Tech (EP Tech)

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
  • Coverage: EP late/call coverage as needed
  • Unit welcomes first-time travelers

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Electrophysiology Tech specialty
  • Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Required Licenses

  • Must hold a valid license appropriate for Electrophysiology Tech role (per specialty and discipline)

Health and Compliance Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
  • Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start (no declinations except approved medical exemptions)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • Required immunizations or positive titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination accepted)
    • Varicella (chickenpox)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Background and Verification

  • 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Education verification required (highest level)
  • Work history verification for 7 years
  • Driver’s license or state ID required
  • E-Verify and other federal background checks upon hire

Additional Requirements

  • Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
  • Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
  • Color blindness test required
  • Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and HIPAA compliance

Uniform

  • Scrubs provided (Royal Blue)

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, with experience within the last year
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
