Location: Willmar, Minnesota

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position for an Adult/Pediatrics Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (Mon-Thurs 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Fri 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
- Mostly pediatric hospital outpatient with some adult inpatient coverage as needed
- Patient population includes both adult and pediatric patients with a wide variety of diagnoses
- Skills required: acute care, outpatient clinic, pediatrics
- EPIC experience preferred
- New graduate OTs considered if certified and have previous pediatrics experience as a COTA
- Traveler's primary residence must be more than 25 miles from the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pediatric Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota
- Completion of an Occupational Therapy program
- Pediatric Occupational Therapist experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Experience in Acute Care, Clinic, and Outpatient settings
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) experience
- Occupational Therapist experience
Required Certifications & Compliance
- Criminal Background Check within 1 year of start (including 7-year search, SS trace, counties, sex offender, nationwide, education verification)
- MN DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required before start (no pending fingerprints allowed)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Tdap vaccination required (no religious declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per MN state guidelines
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
- Flu vaccination or declination required annually (mask required if declined)
- Drug testing within 1 year (9 panel acceptable)
- Two references from recent employers within 2 years
- Skills checklist required
Additional Information
- Candidates must complete MN DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing contract to initiate fingerprinting process
- Education verification required (diploma acceptable in lieu of third-party verification)
- Photo for badge required (grey background, no selfies, JPG format)
- Dress code must be reviewed prior to start
- Orientation includes completion of education modules (~16 hours)
- COVID-19 vaccination/exemption policies apply (exemption approval may take up to 3 weeks)
Summary
This is a travel contract OT position focused on pediatric outpatient care with some adult inpatient duties in Minnesota. New graduate OTs with pediatric COTA experience are welcome. Candidates must meet comprehensive background, health, and licensing requirements specific to Minnesota state law and facility policies. Prior travel experience is not required.
