Job Opportunity: Infusion Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Work at a cancer treatment center specializing in ambulatory infusion.
• Patient diagnoses include MS, GI, Neurology, and Transplant cases.
• May also involve obstetric care.
• Shift options: 4x10 hour shifts or 5x8 hour shifts during the day.
• Floating between clinics may be required.
• No weekend or holiday shifts.
• No on-call requirements.
• Emergency treatment experience for reactions, iron infusions, drugs related to MS/GI/Neuro/Transplant, and fluids administration required.
• Tysabri administration experience preferred; REMS training will be provided if needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state.
• Minimum of 2 years of infusion nursing experience, with infusion experience within the last year.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Licensure

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Washington state.

Work Environment & Additional Requirements

• Floating between clinics within the facility may be necessary.
• No weekend or holiday work required.
• No call duties.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
• Education verification required (nursing degree).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start.
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination accepted.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
  • COVID vaccine or declination.
• Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates.
• Fit mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually.

Competency & Training Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
• Specialty-specific competency exams and training modules may be required.
• Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via WorkRamp platform.
• Epic system training modules may be required depending on assignment location.

References & Employment History

• Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
• Employment application covering at least the last 5 years required.

Floating Policy

• Acknowledgement required; may be asked to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance.

Summary

This is a travel/contract infusion RN position in Seattle, WA, with a 13-week contract length. The role involves infusion nursing primarily in oncology and related specialties, with no weekend or holiday shifts and no call.
