Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Med/Surg Telemetry)

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Required Assessments & Testing

• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate medication administration exam during orientation (passing scores required)
• Must work at least every other holiday

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (e.g., Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background check including FCRA compliant 7-year search, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks, and fingerprinting (FBI and BCI) within 12 months, updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including assessment of ability to perform essential job functions
• Fit mask test (N95) within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 12 months)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Flu vaccination documentation (seasonal) or approved exemption
• Drug screening: Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually
• Eye exam (Snellen) within 1 year of start

References & Employment History

• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for submission
• Two references required from employment within one year of start (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
• Employment application must include at least 3 years prior work history with 2 years in acute care in a similar area

Orientation & Training

• Completion of online onboarding modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Modules include facility-specific training and must be completed before clearance to start
• Medication and ECG competency exams during orientation with remediation and retake opportunities if needed

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be able to pass all required assessments and maintain compliance with all health and background requirements throughout the contract
• Facility accommodates latex allergies with notification
• Fingerprinting must be completed both through the agency and at the facility prior to start
• Candidates must maintain legal name consistency across all documentation

This position is ideal for experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RNs with strong clinical skills, Epic experience, and the ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.
