Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Op

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Work schedule typically 36-40 hours per week, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Orientation sessions available on scheduled dates.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Iowa RN license.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Prior Travel Experience: At least 1 completed travel contract required.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Skills and medication knowledge required: Heparin, nitro, levophed, dopamine, amiodarone, blood administration.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
• Not employed by the facility’s health system in the last 12 months.
• Required documentation at submission: work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, copies of certifications, and one supervisory reference.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with prior travel contract experience looking for a temporary assignment in PACU/Pre-Op nursing.
