Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist (General Imaging)

Location

• Marinette, WI
• Level III Trauma Center
• 99 beds

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Specialty

• General Imaging (MRI)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
• Prior travel experience required: No first-time travelers accepted

Patient Population

• Mostly adults with some pediatric patients (minor sports injuries)
• Patient types include outpatient, inpatient, ER, ICU/vented patients, sedation, whole body scans
• No small children

Required Licensure & Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• AART-M (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - MRI certification)

Skills Required

• General MRI scans only (no cardiac or functional MRI, no special procedures)
• IV start skills

Department Support

• Imaging Assistant or second MRI Tech for patient transport
• Lead Tech
• 1-2 MRI Imaging Assistants
• Phlebotomy support
• Respiratory Therapist (RT)
• Hospitalist
• Supervisor

Technology / Equipment

• EMR system: EPIC
• GE MRI equipment experience preferred

Orientation

• New Employee Orientation (NEO)
• 2 shifts orientation in the department

Scheduling

• Weekend rotation: approximately 1 weekend every 5 weeks or possibly none
• No on-call duties
• Holiday work: up to 50% of holidays during contract
• Shift times:

  • 1st shift (Days): 06:30 - 14:00
  • 2nd shift (Evenings): 14:30 - 23:00
  • Occasional slight variations possible
• Schedule made in 4-week increments by Lead Tech
• Request time off (RTO) approvals go through manager
