Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Job Description

Unit: 19 James Med Surg Oncology
Shift: 12-hour day/night rotating shifts (days, nights, or combination based on department needs)
Shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks; changes based on staffing priorities
Oncology experience preferred but not required

Patient Population & Care Focus

Patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy
Soft tissue malignancy patients receiving diagnostics, chemotherapy, and symptom management
Symptom management secondary to disease or treatment progression
Management of comorbidities
Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention

Equipment Used

B450 monitors GE telemetry system
Bladder Scanner
Alaris pumps
Stryker beds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience with Epic
Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Accessing ports
Arterial line management
Blood product administration
Central line care/management
PICC line management
IV start
Assist with chest tube insertion/removal
High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
Interpretation of ABGs (arterial blood gases)
