Description

Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Department (Travel)

Location: Longview, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights (8 PM - 8 AM)
Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

The competent Registered Nurse practices independently in the Emergency Department, providing routine and complex care. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patients. The nurse addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, administers medications and treatments following protocols, monitors effectiveness and side effects, and documents patient information. Patient and family education is also a key component of the role.

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience

Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience within the last year

Certifications & Licenses

Valid RN license in Texas
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
TNCC certification
