Job Opportunity: Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Details

• Specialty: Oncology Infusion RN
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts of 8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Oncology experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification
• Strong IV experience

• Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• Physical Exam: Initial physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and Health Requirements:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination form
  • Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or chest x-ray if positive history
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination form
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer
  • Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (Aug 1 - Apr 30); medical/religious exemptions accepted, but no declinations
  • COVID-19 Vaccines: Not required but highly preferred; vaccination records must be uploaded or declination form completed
• Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
• Orientation: Completion of facility-specific modules (~2 hours) prior to start is mandatory
• Photo: Passport-style headshot required for badge
• Safety and Compliance:

  • Signed Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreements, HIPAA Attestation, and other facility-specific acknowledgments required prior to start

Work Environment Notes

• Radius Rule: Must live within 60 miles
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
• Hurricane Season: Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during June-November (peak in August-September); new or extension assignments during this time should be considered carefully
