Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Weekend rotation and holidays as needed
Call: No call required
Floating: All travelers may be floated between campuses as needed

Patient Population & Responsibilities

Care for stable trauma patients
Pre-op and post-op care for surgical patients
Use of rapid response teams, blood product administration, and peripheral line care/management
High volume surgical cases include exploratory laparotomies, hemi-colectomies, mastectomies, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, eye surgeries, trauma, and plastic surgeries
Lower volume includes gynecological surgeries (hysterectomy, myomectomy, etc.), palliative care, 24-hour observation, and medical overflow patients

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Knowledge and experience with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with blood product administration
Experience with peripheral line care and management
