Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Stepdown Neuro)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, Days (7 AM - 7 PM)
Rotating weekends required
Float required as needed across all facilities in the system
Unit: 3 West, a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit focused on medical neurological patients
Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) provides patient monitoring surveillance
Staff scheduled in 6-week periods via self-assisted scheduling system

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with External CPAP/BiPAP
Experience with TR band
Experience with Yale Swallowing screen
