Description

Job Opportunity: Surgical Technologist

Location: Laramie, Wyoming
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist supports the care of surgical patients during the perioperative phase. Responsibilities include organizing, preparing, and safely handling equipment and supplies for surgical procedures, utilizing surgeon preference cards, assisting with patient education, and other assigned duties.


Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
  • Previous experience with surgical instrumentation required
  • Previous hospital experience strongly preferred
  • Must obtain BLS certification within 60 days of hire and maintain it throughout employment
  • If a graduate of a surgical technologist program, must be certified by the ASA as a CST or complete certification within 3 months of hire and maintain credential throughout employment

Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience as a surgical technologist preferred
  • Previous experience with instrumentation required
  • Previous hospital experience strongly preferred
