Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - OR Circulating

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Unit: Operating Room (11 OR suites and 1 GI suite)
Caseload: 30 to 50 cases per day
Shift: 10-hour days, no call, no weekends
Dress Code: Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue)


Job Description

  • Circulate primarily in orthopedic surgeries including total joints (MAKO robot), arthroscopy, spine, foot and ankle, hand, ORIF.
  • Some cases in general surgery, ENT, gynecology, and plastics.
  • Equipment used includes the MAKO robotic system.
  • No floating to other units or departments.

Required Qualifications

  • License: South Dakota RN license or compact state RN license.
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS certifications, both must be AHA-approved.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-4 years recent experience as an OR circulator.
  • Strong orthopedic experience required, including total joints and arthroscopy.
  • Robotics experience highly preferred, especially with MAKO.

Additional Information

  • All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
  • Local travelers living within 80 miles of the facility may have adjusted pay rates.
  • Must disclose if previously worked for the facility with an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.

This position is ideal for experienced OR circulating nurses with strong orthopedic and robotics experience seeking a no-call, no-weekend schedule in a high-volume surgical environment.
