Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA provider or AHA RQI only (RQI provider like Laerdal not accepted)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for this RN position; AHA provider or AHA RQI only
• NIH Stroke Certification – Preferred as applicable

Recommended Certifications (Not Required)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Required Qualifications & Documents

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Requirements

• Must complete facility orientation modules prior to start (approximately 2 hours)
• Fingerprinting required only if no Illinois state license; must be done in Illinois and added to state registry
• COVID-19 and Influenza vaccine exemption forms available but require facility approval
• Prior travel experience is not required

Summary

This is a travel contract RN position in Medical Surgical with a 1:6 patient ratio, requiring at least 1 year of experience. Candidates must hold an active Illinois RN license and have current BLS and ACLS certifications. The role requires weekend and floating availability, with charting done in Epic. Comprehensive background checks, immunizations, and health documentation are mandatory. First-time travelers are welcome.
