Job Opportunity: Cardiac Ultrasound Tech
Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Perform quality and complete echocardiogram studies independently and as part of a team
- Maintain integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Demonstrate technical skills and sound judgment to function unsupervised
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and time management skills
- Meet deadlines consistently
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, including experience within the last year
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Required Certifications and Compliance
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current professional license verification (no conditional licenses accepted)
- N95 respirator fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination or proof of immunity
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (no exemptions)
- Tuberculosis (TB) screening within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months
- Health statement signed by a licensed provider within 365 days of start date
- Criminal background checks including state and national registries, updated as required
- Documentation of work experience and education for the past 7 years
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
Additional Information
- Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity is strongly preferred
- Tdap vaccine preferred within the last 10 years
- Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray
- References: 2 within 4 years, including at least 1 supervisor-level reference
- Skills checklist and candidate submission forms required for submission
